Over the years, I’ve worked closely with clients using professional wax, learning what worked, what didn’t, and—most importantly—listening to their experiences. While the results were great, I couldn’t ignore the common concerns: discomfort, irritation, unnecessary waste, and a growing awareness of the impact traditional beauty practices have on our environment.

As the industry evolved, so did my thinking.

I began exploring body sugaring—not as a trend, but as a better way. I was drawn to its simplicity: a paste made from sugar, water, and lemon. Gentle on the skin, effective on hair, and far kinder to the planet. Countless hours of learning, testing, and refining followed until I created a sugaring experience I was truly proud to offer.

That journey became Sugar & Mila.

Today, Sugar & Mila is a proudly New Zealand-made body sugaring and skin support brand built on experience, intention, and care. Every treatment and every product reflects what I’ve learned over more than a decade in the treatment room—that exceptional hair removal should never come at the expense of your skin’s comfort or the environment.
