Pre & Post Care Instructions
Precare
Exfoliate the Skin
Gently exfoliate the area to remove dead skin cells. This helps the sugar adhere better to the hair and prevents ingrown hairs.
Use a mild scrub or exfoliating mitt 48 hours before the appointment. Avoid using harsh scrubs immediately before.
Clean and Dry the Area
Ensure the area to be treated is freshly clean and dry before sugaring. Avoid using oils or lotions on the day of the appointment, as they can interfere with the hair removal process.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Refrain from tanning or using tanning beds at least 24 hours before your sugaring session to prevent skin irritation.
Avoid Shaving or Trimming
Hair should be at least 2-3mm long (about the size of a grain of rice) for the sugar to grip properly (no shaving for 10-12 days, no waxing for 2 weeks) If the hair is excessively long, trim slightly for comfort.
Pain Relief (Optional)
We are not medical experts and will never advise you to take medications. However, you're sensitive to pain, consider taking over the counter pain relief of your choosing 30-60 minutes before your appointment to reduce discomfort.

If you are a Diabetic (1 or 2), Have a Bleeding Disorder, Low Blood Pressure, Autoimmune diseases.

If you are suffering from the Flu, please wait another 5-7 days before booking, or if you already have a booking, please reschedule your appointment out 5-7 days.
Wear Loose Clothing
Avoid tight clothing over the area to be sugared, as tight clothes can cause irritation post-treatment.
Postcare
Avoid Sun Exposure
We recommend waiting 24-48 hours before exposing your skin to the sun, tanning booths, or infrared lamps to prevent irritation.
Keep Skin Clean
For the first 24-48 hours, keep the treated area clean and avoid harsh lotions, perfumes, deodorants, or products with chemical irritants at bay.
Avoid Heat
Do not exercise, take hot baths or shower immediately following treatment. Heat can irritate the skin and cause discomfort. Avoid swimming in public pools for up to 48 hours post treatment.
Avoid Intimate Contact
Refrain from any sexual or intimate activities for 24-48 hours after treatment to avoid irritation and ensure the skin heals properly.
No Exfoliation
Avoid using abrasives or exfoliating the skin for 48 hours to allow the skin to recover and reduce the risk of irritation.
Exfoliate AFTER 48 Hours
After 48 hours, start exfoliating 2-3 times a week to promote circulation, prevent ingrown hairs, and maintain smooth skin.
Hydrate and Maintain
Regularly cleanse and hydrate your skin to maintain its softness and smoothness. We sell some wonderful botanical balms and serums to assist you.
Scheduling Your Next Appointment
We have an open calendar and encourage you to plan your appointments in advance to avoid disappointment.
For optimal results, schedule your next hair removal session during the early anagen stage (the 1st stage of hair growth), typically 3-5 weeks after your last appointment, though this may vary.
