Tamanu Oil aka Dilo (INCI Calophyllum Inophyllum seed oil) - A Melanesian skin protection oil used for centuries throughout the Pacific Islands, Tamanu oil holds an esteemed place in traditional folk medicine practice. The oil has been an ingredient in local remedies throughout regions such as Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.

Tamanu is often recommended for skin complaints such as scars and stretch marks. It exhibits remarkable healing, restorative and protective qualities.

Tamanu main properties include healing, a cicatrizing agent and moisturising agents.

Borage Oil (INCI Borago Officinalis seed Oil) - The Borage herb originates from the Middle East and is widely grown around the world. Borage is easily distinguished by its hairy greyish-green leaves and pinky-blue start shaped flowers. Borage oil is well known as an excellent source of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) or Omega 6. The high levels of GLA make Borage oil an excellent addition to any topical treatment for dry, irritated or inflamed skin. It is also reputed to be an excellent oil for conditioning elderly skin.

Borage Oils main property is antiiflammatory.

Oat Lipid e (INCI Avena Sativa Kernel Oil) - It is readily absorbed into the skin leaving a non-greasy feel, minimising lipid loss.

Oat Lipid e contains 1-2% of moisture regulating ceramides-Smoothes the skin and is proven to be non-comedogenic and reduces papules, blackheads and lesions.

Oat Lipid e also contains lipids found in the outer bilayer of the skin. It enhances hair shine and improves manageability. It flattens hair cuticles to smooth the hair texture. It also protects hair from UV damage.

Oat Lipid e main properties is a skin barrier enhancing and smoothing agent.

Bisabolol (INCI) Bisabolol & Bisabolol Oxide) - Alpha-Bisabolol is a major constituent of German Chamomile (Matricicaria recutita) essential oil, however commercially, alpha-bisabolol is distilled from the oil of Candeia plant. It is suitable for use in skin care products where the formulator wishes to take advantage of its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. As such, it may be useful for protection of skin against stresses including cleansing, shaving, epilation and sun exposure.

Alpha-Bisabolol main property - antiinflammatory.
